  Of course the purpose of the Trinity brochure is to disprove the Trinity, that "long time accepted christian belief", are you saying that they should not be allowed to challenge such a "long time accepted christian belief."?

  I do not think that the quote is out of context, and I think that all quotes are "incomplete" by virtue of the fact that some sort of decision has to be made: what to include, what not to include.

  I have read the paragraph about the princes and 1925 a few times, I still don't understand what you are saying.

  Who is your favourite governing body member? Have you met any of them?

  My favourite has to be John Barr because he is from Scotland and seems to be a pretty nice chap. His sister is in our congregation, but does not get to meetings anymore (she listens over the phone though). When our kingdom hall was dedicated he came to give the talk and it was great to meet this "big tree of righteousness" in person.

  i is not talking about *the* society, but society in general, do you hears what i say?

  about descriptive vs. prescriptive: the notion that language is determined from the bottom up is peculiar to the english language in my view. take the germans who recently reformed their spelling for example. this was not decided by the man on the street. rules were made on a high level which ordinary users of the language are now expected to follow.

  rules are what hold us together man, i is the follower.

Needless to say, society has been reeling from the consequences of this lapse of judgement ever since. There are fewer things I feel more strongly about. The increasing decadence in society can in many ways be traced back to this lapse of judgement on the part of our monarch. Giving into the forces of "liberalism" in this seemingly small area may not seem much, but as the years wear on and the split infinitive becomes ever more common, many are having to reevaluate their previously held view that this is simply a minor development in the form of the English language. The part that Star Trek also played in furthering this disastrous trend with its catch phrase "to boldly go where no man [one] has gone before" should not be ignored. Thus pressure is coming at us from both the most respected and the least respected quarters of society. The entertainment industry and our Royal Family have joined together in an Unholy Alliance, promoting the split infinitive without regard its resultant effect upon the masses. Let not this trend despoil our tongue, let it not ruin our very lives.

  I don't think that the quote is deceptive in any sense. What you must remember is that the quote is in the section about whether the Trinity is an *explicit* Bible teaching. Although the writer quoted does support the Trinity teaching believing it to be of divine origin, he does also appear to agree with the society that it is not *explicity* taught in either the Old or New Testaments.

  I really don't intend getting into big arguements with you folks, but I have indeed read "Trinity Brochure Exposed" and suchlike criticisms of the brochure. I do not think that many of their criticisms are valid. I will say that there are maybe one or two quotes that perhaps should not have been used, but in general I think that it is a good publication. I don't think there are any blatant attempts to deceive as others claim.

  If you have one particular criticism of a particular quote that you think proves your point, then I would be interested in looking into it.
